Dead Addict: DEAD OR UNDEAD

If you are like me, you are always looking for a good Eric/Sookie fanfic to read, so I’m going to start highlighting one of my favorites each week or so.  I won’t be going in any particular order.  Since I started reading, I’ve kept a list of those that I want to eventually read again, so I’ll begin with those, again in no particular order (except that it will start with the things that I’ve completed most recently).

However, I’ll only be doing completed works–those completed by the author and those that I have read completely.

Dead or Undead (and its sequel Dead or Deader) by Dead Addict

I love the way Sookie learns to accept Eric and his importance in her life, even as she clings to her own identity.  And the Eric in this work is fiercely devoted to Sookie–to the point that he is willing to die for her (though not in a way that seems like a cliche).  The author is true to the Eric and Sookie of the books, but takes them to what they “could” be if they just took one step toward each other.  I like the way Dead Addict shows how that little step–that moment of trust–would turn into something amazing.
