dream7me7to7sleep: NEVER END

Hello all,

I’ve not made an official recommendation for a while because the people at the Writers’ Directory are so awesome at it, but I’m feeling compelled today.

The author, dream7me7to7sleep, has written many wonderful stories, but the one I’d like to celebrate right now is Never End.

In this story, you will find a Sookie who is hard to understand: for readers and for Eric.  She is both one of the strongest Sookies I’ve seen written and one of the most vulnerable.  What set her apart for me the most was her pragmatism.  With very little “emotional intelligence” at the beginning, she is “negotiating” her existence as a telepathic cop as best she can.  She is also trying to come to terms with the fact that she is capable of loving–let alone being loved.

It was interesting to see this Sookie have to practically trick herself into falling in love with our favorite Viking (though he certainly had a hand in “encouraging” the situation “behind the scenes”).  I’ll admit that there was an “odd” turn toward a more mythic world in the end, and I liked the earlier “realness” of the story better; however, I could tell what the author was doing: completely obliterating Sookie’s little claustrophobic life by making it truly HUGE! (You’ll see what I mean when you read.)  Thus, after thinking about it, I could get behind the “shift” that the author took.

Anyway, I want to highly recommend Never End.  If I were deciding awards this year, it would be one of my winners for best re-imagining of the SVM/TB world.  If you haven’t read it, check it out!  If you have, be sure to share the love with the author!

Andi tells a terrific story. We’re working on a couple new ones now that we’re hoping the readers will love just as much. “Never End” was a delightful project for us, and I fell in love with ‘the girls!’ It’s a must read for any Sookie & Eric lover! I can’t wait to tell her about your recommendation, Kat. She’ll be so thrilled!

MSBuffy, I’m sure that you were an integral part in the process! If I hadn’t lucked on my perfect complement in a beta (the wonderful, amazing Kleannhouse), I would have likely “bugged” you once I realized how wonderful having a sounding board could be! I’m so glad that we have people like you–helping people like Andi–stretch in their stories. I know that Kleannhouse makes me think and improve and “fight” for my stories again and again. An amazing beta is an amazing gift. 🙂

I know that Kleannhouse really makes your team complete! The two of you have been working together for a long time. Actually, I should have said the three of you because Seph makes up the final part of your team. You have put together a team that can’t be beat and the way you all work together? It’s like clockwork, so don’t change a thing!Andi & I have so much fun working together. I think it’s necessary to have that “perfect complement” between writer and beta. You have to fit. 🙂

I’d just like to say how great I think it is that you took the time to recommend a story! With the loss of the Blood Awards this year it is more important than ever that we support each other! 🙂

Agreed! Of course, one never knows when you might be my “victim.” I reread the Big Bang over the holidays. Loved it all the more!!!!!

That’s wonderful to hear! It makes me feel so good to know that people enjoy my stories. Thank you! There are so many incredible writers in our fandom you couldn’t give me a better gift than you just did! ❤️ thank you again for taking the time to share your love of these great stories!

Never doubt that you have a fan in me. Several of your stories are on my “read again” list, and I’m very picky about what I put there. I was so sad that the You Want Blood Awards weren’t “going” this year b/c they often introduce me to new authors. Back in the day, being recognized by the fangreaders awards was a highlight for me! Being up against the likes of EricIzMine and All About Eric made my month!!!!! Hell! And I even voted for them. LOL!! I guess I’m a “veteran” in the fanbase now, but I don’t feel like one. I still get nervous and excited with each post. Maybe one day, I’ll calm down. 😉

I hope that you never do, calm down I mean, because that incredible feeling of stepping off the edge when you press “publish” is like nothing else in the world. Yes, awards are about exposure to new readers and I agree that losing them is a shame for that reason. That’s why what you did was so great! ❤️ I am delighted to be on your read again list. That makes me feel like a veteran which is cool in the Imma Guardian kind of way, which allows me to be waaaay cooler in my mind than I am in real life. Have a great day! 😊

Wow! This explains why my inbox has been exploding all day! Thank you so much for the recommendation!
Never End was an amazing journey for me as a writer, and the way you describe that journey and destination was spot on. Thank you for taking time to spotlight my story!

You’re welcome. I enjoy your work as a rule. And I want you to know that I nominated your story for some awards. I’m looking forward to what you come up with next.
    Best to you,

Totally agree, it is an amazing story with an intriguing Sookie. Her idiosyncrasies are used by her in a fascinating way. Did also appreciate the Eric in the story. Second the recommendation!
